God has a plan for your life. Have you heard that before? Have you ever stopped to think how wonderful that truth is?

On a clear night, go outside. Look at the stars. Try to count them. Think about the vastness of creation, and stand in awe of the Creator.

Now realize that the same Creator who designed the universe — from the brightest star to the teeniest bug — has also designed a plan for your life. He created you with a purpose. He wants you to give you eternal life so you can have a perfect relationship with Him that lasts forever. In eternity, you will never feel ashamed or fearful in His presence. You will feel only perfect love, both for God and from Him.

Isn’t God’s plan wonderful? But wait! There’s more!

God not only has a plan for your eternity, but He also has a plan for you life here on earth. God has planned work for you to do now. He wants to use you to bring other people to Him. No matter how long or hard you look, you will never find work more fulfilling than introducing people to the loving, living God.

Do you want God’s plan for your life? If so, be prepared to sacrifice your own plan because what you want to do with your life — your time, your talent, your resources — will often not be the same as what God wants to do with them. But if you will surrender to God, you will find that His plan brings far greater satisfaction than your plan ever could, both for now and for eternity.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV
